How’s my driving?

I was thinking today about ways that one could genuinely improve the quality of drivers. I think one of the problems is that there’s no real deterrant for bad driving. The worst drivers seem to be Taxis and Private Hire cars, and theres no real way to stop them misbeheaving on the roads.

But I thought, that if you made it compulsory to have a label on the back of all cabs, one of those “How’s my driving?” labels, with the phone number to the local police force, people would have a swift course of action to peruse, the next time they get cut off by a cab driver. If a driver got enough complaints against his name, they could fine him for it, and that can pay for the service. I think with a genuine consequence, people would have to think twice before driving terribly discourteously.
